myles takes a £450 security deposit by card at pickup. it's a pre-authorisation, not a charge — so nothing leaves your account unless there's damage to report. once the van's been checked back in and everything's as it should be, the hold is released. most guests see it back within 3–5 working days.
what you need to drive.
a standard uk car licence (category b), held for at least two years, and you need to be 25 or over. that's it. no additional van licence, no specialist training. all four vans drive like a long transit — if you've done a motorway in a family estate, you'll be fine.
